ISO Standards For Manufacturing and Engineering

The International Standards Organisation (ISO) develop standards that when put into place ensure the quality, safety and efficiency of products, services and systems within an organisation. Engineering and manufacturing firms face a set of highly specific challenges, including complex regulatory requirements, but, whatever the size of an organization, it can benefit from certification to one or more quality management standards.

The standards that we work with that are relevant to Engineering and Manufacturing are:

  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
  • ISO 45001 (Health and Safety Management)
  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
  • BS EN 1090 (CE Marking)

The experienced MMC Consultants work with our clients to help them attain certification in the relevant ISO manufacturing standards and, ISO engineering standards, by assisting them to achieve the highest levels of quality and safety with an effective management system.

Achieving certification is a strong indication to those within the manufacturing and engineering industries including potential clients, that a business not only maintains its standards to the highest levels but ensures that customer satisfaction is paramount to what it does.

CE & UKCA Marking Safety Guidelines

CE & UKCA Marking are regulatory marks which are applied by the manufacturer and are a declaration to both the public authorities and customers that the product fulfils the required levels of health and safety.

To be able to trade within the EU, businesses need to meet the compulsory product safety guidelines required to gain a CE Marking regulatory mark. Now that we have left the EU any product that is for consumption in the UK you will need to be marked with a new UKCA mark.
